      Hey. First off just go check your tire pressure with a regular gauge. If your tire pressures are okay then you're okay. If you want to have the system fixed, go get it fixed if you want to bypass it and not have it work anymore and not have the light be on, you can do the hack in this video at your own risk. Thanks for the comment.

They had a lot of roots, 6 times as much or more as this video. Two are still in the pot. All that were doing well in the video are still doing well. I am watering them when I remember with water from a bucket. I imagine next year they may gain two feet then three-four feet a year after that. As a CompSci major I am always appreciative of people who understand tech and how things work and have simple solutions. What I did is buy a Powerline adapter which basically boosted my network connectivity to the far side of the house (basically it is now wired but over power line) and I got over 100Mbps to that side of the house which is aplenty for my needs. And I'll be doing exactly what's in this video. Simply hardwire the unit it and connect it to a wifi extender which will will simply talk to the Powerline wifi and that's that.

    Seems like a great idea on paper but does not work. We have, like most people, a skimmer basket under a plate to hook up the vacuumed hose. By looping the wire over the top like you did the plate will not securely fasten. This causes the vacuum to not get full power.

    • @SwimmingintheDeep
      @SwimmingintheDeep 15 днів тому

      Good point. I don't vacuum my pool because my Pentair pool cleaner does a pretty good job by itself. I just got a robotic pool cleaner today and will be posting a review of that soon...maybe it will do even better. . Maybe you can try looping the wire lower in the basket on both sides from the inside. Thanks for the comment!

    Good info! I’m trying to diagnose my IC40. LEDs are off in the unit. Everything else has power. If checking the fuse/replacing the fuse, and the light is not green while everything is connected and powered on. 1. Should I turn off power at the switch, AND at the breakers before checking the fuse green light? 2. When disconnecting the assembly IC40 power cord from the power center, must the breakers be off or just the on/off switch?

      If you have a multimeter, put the leads on the saltwater coordinator generator transformer that is in your box and see if it is putting out power. I can't remember if it's AC or DC power that comes out of it so be prepared to switch your multimeter to check for either one.

    So when my PUMP shuts off (it is on a timer) - then the FLOW light just goes RED - just like it does when I turn the PUMP off when I backwash or RINSE.. So are you sawing the electricity should shut off COMPLETELY?

    • @SwimmingintheDeep
      @SwimmingintheDeep 29 днів тому

      Yes, if it were wired correctly, it would only be able to come on (and lights seen on the chlorinator itself) when your pump is on. In short, your transformer for your chlorinator in your box area should be wired to the same pump timer.... on the "out" side. That ensures no power goes to your chlorinator unless the pump is on. I am not sure if the way it is currently wired will damage the chlorinator, I think it would work...but not be the correct way. Your flow sensor is likely serving to protect it by not allowing the plates in the chlorinator to be actually "on."

    • @SwimmingintheDeep

      @@laurat9052 how old is your cell? If it's 5 or more years it likely needs to be replaced. If it's less than that you can try cleaning your cell with hydrochloric acid. You should be careful if you do that and there are instructions on how to do that on UA-cam.

    • @SwimmingintheDeep
      @SwimmingintheDeep Місяць тому

      Hey I'm sorry you found my explanation terrible. I understand your frustration because it took me a long time for it to click. I suggest you get some cardboard and work it out. On these bottom stairs my overall additive run and where it landed was not that important. You may notice that I also poured some additional concrete for where it landed. Local code made a dictate how long your run needs to be but there's also a range. If your distance out is very important in your project, I suggest measuring that distance. You may have to use a plumb line hanging off of your landing to determine your overall additive run. Now divide that by your run of 10.5 in" (or somewhere in the range of code) and that will help you determine how many stairs that you have. It may still be very helpful to use cardboard for you go to cutting of your expensive piece of wood. This technique will allow you to adjust your own per stair run for it to work out. Good luck. I'm not an expert at this but thought I could be helpful and thought my video could be helpful. I apologize if you found it frustrating.

      @SwimmingintheDeep Місяць тому

      @renate19861958 That's true, the lights on your chlorinator should give a pretty good indication. You can also use some test strips that are made of paper to test the salt level. It's very common after the winter that your salt is very low because rain and draining your pool will naturally lower the level of salt. For my pool, I have to add about two to three bags of salt after the winter is over. Also the chlorinator will not read an accurate reading until the temperature of your pool gets well into the '60s. Therefore, if your pool is not in the upper '60s Fahrenheit, or higher, be careful not to add too much salt.

    Awesome! I will have to remember this. Here's another tip, I had a rim link on my riding mower that just kept happening over and over, to the point the tire was very deformed as it sat flat in the garage all winter or all week during the season. It was so deformed I'm not sure this rope trick would work. So I took the wheel off and put it in the oven at 200-250deg F until the tire became pliable and rebound to the rim on its own. Before inflating it I put undiluted Dawn dish liquid all around the bead. Since adding the Dawn it's never gone flat again. That stuff sticks and seals really well! We're now over a year with no flat tire! Anyway next time I have a flat on my rider I know how to fix it quick and easy thanks to your rope trick!

      That's a great tip. I have a boat trailer boat tire that I think is leaking at the rim edge. I'll have to try the dish soap!

    Loved your video. I have the 4 button Easy Touch system that just failed due to power problem caused by fried wire on one leg of my 220 near my meter. I know Pentair is very overpriced but flabbergasted on the cost of replacing just the antenna circuit board. I was considering the Screenlogic upgrade but balked at the crazy high price and wondered if I could supply my own wireless bridge when I found your video. Much appreciated. The Easy Touch panel has multiple power taps and I think I will seek out a wireless ethernet antenna system that can be powered directly from one of the aux relays. Great video and seems like Screenlogic would make more sense than wasting more $$$ on the existing Easy Touch remote system. It was good for 12 yrs but dead now. ( NO COM) I thought I could live without the remote but sure miss it after having it for 12 yrs.

    Hello, I'm having trouble locating the water source for my autofiller. It has recently stopped adding water no mater the water level. I've pushed the lever down to force water, but nothing comes out. Recommendations for finding the source. It's in-ground pool. 5yrs old. Was previously working fine. I've looked by pool pump area for on/off valve. I"ve looked for nearby in ground irrigation valves. I'm out of ideas where else it could get water source from. Any recommendations. I have a Pentair system.

      It does sound like the water source is cut off. When I plumbed mine I plumbed it off of the sprinkler irrigation system. And when I winterize My irrigation system, I cut off the valve way up in the front of my yard. Is it possible that your irrigation system is also the source and it was winterized?

      @@SwimmingintheDeep Thank you for your help. I noticed our irrigation all of sudden wasn't working. Reset water well pump and fixed both issues. It was a new home and I didn't realize it was being fed with well water. Oh, I also found the cutoff valve buried under overgrown grass, directly in-line about 4ft from autofill.

    Tried this method for a 2008 Camry Hybrid but no blue wire and couldn’t get the light to go away by troubleshooting the other wires. Removed the gauge cluster and put electrical tape over the light and honestly was easier than doing this lol here’s the link ua-cam.com/video/LlzeBOSbX44/v-deo.htmlsi=Un014YyBO8UBQLpl
